Vidarbha-blessed by the nature.From Rugveda period we find the references of Vidarbha. This region is known from the king Vidarbha.6000 years it was a part of Dandakaranya well known from Ramayana. Lopmudra was the daughter of Rishi Vidarbha.Grand mother Indumati of king Dasharath, mother of Ram Kausalya were from Vidarbha.The story of Nal & Damayanti is of this region. Vidarbha had contributed a lot in the fields of art,literature,grammar,music,dance,justice,social reforms,political views, Malvika,Indumati Damayanti,Rukhimini,Jijamata had achieved a special status in the history of Vidarbha and subsequently of the nation.On the bank of Nag river king Gond established his capital known as Nagpur,Parsoji Bhosale took charge of this region in early 1700.In modern days Dr.Hedgewar the founder of RSS & Dr.Ambedkar awakened & lead the deprived people.Both influenced & directed a new way of thinking to our society.It is the biggest contribution of 20th century.
